Chicago, IL – This August, the Business Forward Briefing Center hosted a three-day policy program during the Chicago convention. We welcomed more than 600 guests, including senior officials from the Biden-Harris Administration, Governors, Members of Congress, C-suite executives, campaign advisors, union presidents, and policy experts.
Together, we explored the business case for critical issues shaping America’s future, including global leadership, democracy and the rule of law, innovation, workforce development, sustainability, and international trade.
Highlights include:
- Harris 2024 Leadership: Mo Elleithee, Jen O’Malley Dillon, and Patti Solis Doyle kicked off the program with a fireside chat on campaign leadership and the road ahead.
- Is Leading the World a Good Deal for America?: Tom Nides, Penny Pritzker, and Gina Raimondo delved into America’s role on the global stage.
- The New AI Economy: A forward-looking discussion with Pete Buttigieg, Rohini Kosoglu, Liz Schuler, and Brad Smith explored the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, its impact on the U.S. economy, and the importance of ensuring ethical, inclusive innovation for the workforce of the future.
- Reproductive Healthcare: Amy Dacey, Lizzie Fletcher, and Mini Timmaraju closed out our programming with a panel on protecting reproductive rights in America.
