Washington, D.C. – Earlier this week, the Vice President Kamala Harris unveiled a new proposal to significantly expand tax benefits for small businesses, aiming to further encourage entrepreneurship across the country. Jim Doyle, President of Business Forward, issued the following statement in support of these efforts to foster innovation and growth among small firms:

“Business Forward applauds the Vice President Harris’s proposal to expand the tax deduction for new small businesses. This substantial increase will provide critical support to entrepreneurs as they navigate the early stages of building their businesses, where access to capital and financial stability are often the biggest hurdles. By reducing the financial burden on start-ups, this measure will lead to job creation, economic growth, and a more resilient small business sector, ensuring that our economy remains competitive and that innovation continues to thrive.”
